Our Sunday night favourite ‘Call The Midwife’ returns with the gorgeous Helen George this Sunday 18th Jan on BBC1 at 8pm.

The nuns and midwives of Nonnatus House return in this the 4th series of the hit show, with new nurse Barbara, who is anxious to prove herself – only to get off on the wrong foot after a late-night drinks party.

A family of severely neglected children is discovered, so Trixie (Helen George) strives to restore their health and bring happiness into their lives, leaving Tom filled with admiration for the woman he loves, while Sister Evangelina finally undergoes tests for her abdominal pains.

Shelagh finds she is at the surgery almost as much as she is at home, so the Turners come up with a solution which, for 1960, proves somewhat ground-breaking.
