Adam James is a London based actor.

Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Adam has worked consistently in TV, film and on stage.

Adam's extensive TV credits include The Suspect' (World Productions/ITV), 'Vigil' (World Productions/BBC) opposite Suranne Jones, Michaela Coel's critically acclaimed drama 'I May Destroy You' (BBC/HBO), 'Hotel Portofino' (Britbox), 'Life' (BBC) 'Belgravia' Julian Fellowes' six-part limited series (ITV/EPIX ), 'Deep State' (Fox/Epix), 'Eric, Ernie & Me', 'King Charles III', 'Doctor Foster', 'Drifters', 'Grantchester' and 'Band of Brothers'. Adam's film credits include 'The Kill Team', Head of M17 in 'Johnny English Strikes Again' and 'Hunter Killer' alongside Gary Oldman and Gerard Butler.

Notable theatre credits include 'Shipwreck' (Almeida), 'Girl from the North Country', 'Consent' (National) and 'King Charles III' (National).

He is the winner of the Lucille Lortel Award for his performance in 'The Pride' in New York for which he was also Drama Desk Nominated. Other nominations include "Best Newcomer" for the Manchester Evening News Awards and "Best Supporting Actor" for both the What's on Stage Awards and the David di Donatello Film Awards.

Adam can currently be seen in critically acclaimed drama 'The Long Shadow' (ITV), as well as new Apple TV+ series 'The Buccaneers'.
